Job summary

Gunnison Copper in southeastern Arizona is seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor at Johnson Camp Mine to support safety and efficiency.

You will perform open pit surveys, operate drones, maintain maps and volumes data, train junior staff, and collaborate with operations and engineering to hit project goals.

A strong background in surveying, geospatial tools, and knowledge of mining regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
• Professional certification in surveying or geomatics, strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the mining or surveying field, preferably in open pit operations.
• Proficiency in surveying software and geospatial analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of mining regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Possession or ability to obtain a drone pilot license.

Responsibilities

• Conducting open pit mine surveys to gather information.

Mine Surveyor Responsibilities & Duties
