Job summary

AllTerra Central is seeking a Survey Technology Specialist to work hands-on with Trimble survey and MGIS equipment. You will prep, test, troubleshoot, and deliver cutting-edge geospatial gear to customers, ensuring fully functional solutions.

You will coordinate rentals, coordinate with sales and operations, and help maintain inventory accuracy while providing excellent customer service and technical support.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Trimble survey, construction, or MGIS products and software essential.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious with professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate rental requests with customers and the sales team via phone, email, and in person.
  • Manage rental tracking using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Perform pre‑rental inspections and QA testing for all outgoing equipment kits.
  • Perform post‑rental inspections and document issues or damages.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving for all rental gear.
  • Test equipment to ensure full functionality and readiness for customer use.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to meet delivery deadlines.

Join a dynamic team at the forefront of geospatial innovation! As a Survey Technology Specialist, you'll work hands‑on with cutting‑edge Trimble survey and MGIS equipment offered by AllTerra Central. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our customers receive top‑tier, fully functional technology solutions. From prepping and testing to troubleshooting and delivering, you'll be immersed in the latest advancements in surveying and geospatial technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
RENTALS

Engage with the latest Trimble technologies to ensure each unit is optimized and ready for field deployment.

  • Coordinate rental requests with customers and the sales team via phone, email, and in‑person.
  • Manage rental tracking using Microsoft Business Central
  • Execute pre‑rental inspections and quality assurance testing for all outgoing equipment kits.
  • Perform post‑rental inspections on all returned equipment, identifying and documenting any issues or damages.
  • Oversee the entire shipping and receiving process for all rental gear.
NEW EQUIPMENT SALES

Embrace the opportunity to work with state‑of‑the‑art geospatial tools and contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Ensure all company QA/QC measures are followed and achieved, including loading operating systems, software, firmware, system files, preset settings, and licenses on appropriate devices
  • Test all equipment to ensure it is fully functional and ready for use upon receipt by the customer
  • Work closely with our sales and operation teams to ensure delivery deadlines are achieved
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support our mission to lead in geospatial excellence by assisting in operations and customer interactions with professionalism and technical expertise.

  • Resolve a variety of technical issues for walk‑in clients, ensuring a positive and efficient service experience.
  • Work closely with our operation and supply teams to achieve inventory compliance and maintain inventory control.
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Trimble survey, construction, or MGIS products and software is essential. Passion for technology and innovation is highly valued.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience is required.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious.
  • Ability to speak in a professional manner and communicate well via phone, email or in person
  • Computer Literate – MS Office preferred
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with a track record of meeting all weekly and monthly goals.
