Job summary

Qualifications

• High school level coursework in algebra, geometry, or trigonometry.
• One year of full-time technical Land Surveying, GIS, Civil Engineering, or closely related work experience.
• Experience in road construction work or county public works-related tasks.
• College coursework in civil engineering, GIS, geomatics, or land surveying is desirable.
• Qualifying degrees or coursework must be from an accredited institution; foreign coursework requires evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Review, create, and survey maps and legal descriptions.
• Take measurements for construction, topographic, or boundary surveys.
• Determine right of way limits or property boundaries and maintain parcels.
• Perform calculations or analysis related to land surveying activities.
