Job summary

Intertek, a global leader in quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Survey Technician I to join our Survey Services team in Houston, TX. The role involves on-site and offshore surveying across oil & gas, power, and industrial projects with at least 50% travel.

You will perform dimensional control surveys, topographical surveys, drone and laser scanning, metrology, and 3D modelling to support asset integrity and retrofit projects. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Aptitude for math, computer technology, and reading plans.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior Surveyors.
• Comfort in oil and gas environments, onshore and offshore.
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional control surveys on on- and offshore fields.
• Conduct topographical surveys.
• Carry out drone surveys.
• Perform metrology tasks.
• Apply terrestrial laser scanning techniques.
• Conduct mobile scanning.
• Create 3D models from survey data.
