Job summary

Ayres Associates in Madison, WI is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Land Survey Group. You’ll perform a variety of field and office surveying tasks using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and Civil 3D/MicroStation, supporting crew chiefs and project managers.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, a two-year degree in land surveying or civil engineering technology, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in land surveying or civil engineering technology.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and software.
• Physical ability to walk over uneven terrain and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and office survey and mapping tasks.
• Operate GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and Civil 3D/MicroStation CAD tools.
• Support crew chiefs, technicians, and project managers in surveying documentation.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety practices.
• Overtime and occasional out-of-town and overnight travel are anticipated.
