LJA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to support boundary surveying projects and mapping duties. You will prepare metes and bounds, topographic maps, and exhibits, working with data and plans to stake construction sites.

We value hands-on experience, strong communication, and the ability to build solid client relationships in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Competenze

• 5–10 years of survey experience.
• CADD experience is required; DOT experience is a plus.
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:As aSurvey Technicianat LJA Engineering, you will be responsible for Preparing metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps
• Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans
• Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data
• Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information
• Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Surveyor-in-Training certification by the Arizona Board of Land Surveying, or

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5-10 years of survey experience
• CADD experience is required and DOT experience is a plus
• Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
