Qualifications

  • PhD in survey methodology, statistics or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in development and execution of sample designs, including area-probability samples for domestic and international clients.
  • Technical expertise in developing post-survey statistical adjustment procedures.
  • Scholarly publication record demonstrating methodological research.
  • Experience analyzing complex sample survey data.
  • Track record providing technical support to sponsored survey research projects.
  • Programming skills (R, Python, SAS, IVEware).
  • Experience supervising project staff.
  • Strong written, oral and statistical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sample designs on multiple national survey projects.
  • Provide technical consultation on sampling, weighting, data collection protocols, and analyses.
  • Develop technical papers or publications on methodological topics.
  • Participate in design and field monitoring activities.
  • Prepare and collaborate on funded proposals in survey methodology and data science.
  • Develop a scholarly research agenda and supervise project staff as needed.
