OHLA USA in Miami, FL is seeking a Survey Rodman to support the Survey Party Chief and Instrument Operator. You will operate and maintain survey equipment, mark points, and collect data for field surveys, working outdoors in various weather conditions.

The role requires reading maps and plans, attention to detail, physical endurance, and teamwork. You will travel to multiple job sites, set up equipment, and ensure safety while contributing to transportation infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret maps, plans, and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the setup and operation of surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
• Carry and set up survey equipment, including tripods, rods, and other measuring devices.
• Accurately mark and record survey points and boundaries as directed by the Survey Party Chief.
• Ensure the safety and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Perform manual labor, such as clearing brush and digging for monument placement.
• Collect and log field data using electronic data collectors.
• Communicate effectively with the survey team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Summary

Our company has an immediate opening for a skilled and dedicatedSurvey RodmaninMiami, Fl. The Survey Rodmanassists the Survey Party Chief and Survey Instrument Operator in performing field surveys. This role involves operating and maintaining survey equipment, marking points, and collecting data for various types of surveys. The Survey Rodman will work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in surveying or construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, plans, and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
• Noise levels associated with heavy equipment operation.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
