Spotlock in Pottstown, PA is seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager/PLS to lead projects from planning to delivery, mentoring field and office staff, and ensuring high-quality, accurate work.

The role requires a PA-licensed PLS with 7+ years in boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic surveys, and development. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern surveying tools is essential; you will coordinate clients and teams.

Survey Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

We are seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our Pottstown, PA team in a key leadership role. This is an opportunity for a licensed surveyor who enjoys combining hands-on technical expertise with project management, team leadership, and client interaction.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of surveying projects from initial planning through final delivery, while helping guide field and office personnel and maintaining the quality and accuracy of our work. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage multiple projects, develop relationships with clients, and serve as a technical resource for the surveying team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Manage surveying projects from start to finish, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, subdivision, and construction layout assignments.
• Coordinate and oversee field crews and office personnel to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Review, prepare, and certify survey plans, documents, and legal descriptions in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania regulations.
• Develop project proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, staffing requirements, and overall project performance.
• Work closely with internal engineering professionals, clients, municipal representatives, and contractors.
• Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to surveyors, CAD technicians, and field personnel.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to continued business development.
• Promote high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism across surveying operations.

What We're Looking For

• Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania.
• At least 7 years of progressive land surveying experience, including project management responsibilities.
• Strong technical background in boundary surveying, title research, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and land development.
• Experience overseeing surveying projects and coordinating field and office personnel.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and surveying data collection and processing software.
• Familiarity with modern surveying equipment, including GPS/GNSS and robotic total stations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining project quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.

Compensation & Benefits

• $110,000-$140,000 base salary, depending on experience.
