Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead survey projects from planning through delivery. You will manage staff, budgets, schedules, and quality, coordinating with management on scope and client needs.

Ideal candidates have 8-10+ years in land surveying, experience with staking projects, valid driver’s license, and proficiency in Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in land surveying or related field.
• Experience managing construction staking projects and crews.
• Understanding of the construction industry and ability to adapt to client needs.
• Professional licensure in related field preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of survey/engineering concepts and practices.
• Able to coordinate work activities across multiple functions and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work plans and labor budgets for approval by the Department Manager.
• Monitor time schedules and capital budgets to satisfy the client and control productivity.
• Prepare advanced engineering designs and technical data for delivery.
• Coordinate/Prepare as-built submittals for the client at project end.
• Oversee quality control/assurance on all assigned projects.
• Lead project teams and ensure delivery within scope and budget.
• Contribute to proposals and support business development.
• Discuss scope changes with clients and obtain approvals before work.
• Mentor junior staff and uphold health and safety standards.
