Job summary

ESP Associates is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Fort Mill, SC to oversee all aspects of the surveying and geomatics group, guiding field crews, staff, and projects from planning through completion.

The role emphasizes strong client relationships, project leadership, and the delivery of high‑quality land development work for public and private sector clients within a multidisciplinary firm.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina and/or South Carolina (preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in surveying management in residential/commercial development preferred.
• Experience with survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS; field experience with Trimble equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Earth; IT knowledge a plus.
• Thorough working knowledge of GPS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the surveying and geomatics group, including field operations and office personnel.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and representatives to support business development.
• Lead and supervise survey crews, technicians, and staff to ensure efficient operations and quality delivery.
• Manage contracts and oversee projects from planning through completion, coordinating assignments and schedules.
• Lead planning and development of complex surveying projects addressing technical challenges.
