Job summary

Summit Design and Engineering in North Carolina seeks a Survey Project Manager for full-time employment across multiple NC locations including the Raleigh-Durham area and Asheville. A licensed Professional Land Surveyor is required, and the PM will lead boundary, topographic, ALTA, and as-built surveys while managing budgets, schedules, and client communications.

Candidates should have 4+ years as a PLS, GPS/RTK/VRS and robotic total station experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

  • North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor licensure required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a PLS.
  • GPS, RTK, VRS and robotic total station survey experience.
  • Good listening, learning and teaching mindset.
  • Strong communication and team-work skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and mapping knowledge.
  • Ability to adapt to changing field conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor projects with attention to budget, schedule, scope, risk, and quality.
  • Manage and support field and CAD technicians.
  • Operate AutoCAD Civil 3D or oversee drafting staff.
  • Perform deed/plat/records research.
  • Analyze and adjust field data.
  • Oversee Boundary, Topographic, As-Builts, Easements and ALTA surveys.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders including architects and engineers.
  • Maintain company standards and procedures; uphold Summit Core Values.
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure successful project delivery.

Summit Design and Engineering is currently seeking applicants for a Survey Project Manager for full timeemployment in multiple locations in North Carolina including the Raleigh Durham area and Asheville,. Tobe considered for this position, one must be a Professional Land Surveyor. As a Project Manager, thisposition will be primarily responsible for Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, As-builts andEasements, and ALTA Surveys. This position offers an excellent opportunity to have a guided caregrowth path, in a supportive environment and team atmosphere.Salary will be commensurate with experience and training.
