Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Survey Project Manager to lead complex surveying projects in Georgia, coordinating with clients and staff from proposal through completion.

The role requires a Georgia-registered Professional Land Surveyor, extensive GDOT project experience, and strong CAD software skills. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with state regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia; Georgia DOT (GDOT) experience required.
• SIT license; Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus.
• 10+ years managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years in land surveying.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson; LiDAR data handling.
• Experience with GDOT ORD, MicroStation, Open Roads Design, and post-processing software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, and presentations; participate in recruiting and evaluations.
• Coordinate with office staff and clients; manage project budgets and schedules.
• Create and manage resource allocation for survey projects.
• Plan pre-survey activities with project managers and engineers; ensure compliance with GDOT and Accura procedures.
• Lead and mentor survey teams; ensure quality and timely delivery of surveys across ALTA, boundaries, topography, and inventories.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Will assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
• SIT or LS required
• Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
• Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing).
• Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
• Should be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
• A demonstrated record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation
• Must have project management experience
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Will accept two year degree plus experience.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia, other states licenses are desirable
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
• 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying
• SIT license
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
• LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
• Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
• Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
