Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Survey Project Manager to lead complex land surveying projects, coordinate with clients and staff, and ensure compliance with GDOT and industry standards.

The role requires extensive field and office experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson, LiDAR and GIS tools; Georgia PLS is preferred, with relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in land surveying or related field.
• Professional Land Surveyor license in Georgia preferred.
• GDOT experience required.
• 10+ years managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years in land surveying.
• SIT license.
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson.
• LiDAR/data processing experience with TopoDOT and Pix4D a plus.
• GDOT ORD experience desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Job Title: Survey Project Manager

Work Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Relocation assistance or sign-on bonus available

Duties/Responsibilities

• Will assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
• SIT or LS required
• Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction and other Survey Software
• Experience with GIS platforms is desirable
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post processing).
• Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable
• Should be registered in Georgia or the ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
• A demonstrated record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventories, and other types of surveys
• Coordinates with office staff and clients as required.
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules and resource allocation
• Must have project management experience
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Will accept two year degree plus experience.
• Must be Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia, other states licenses are desirable
• Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required
• 10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying
• SIT license
• 107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus
• Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson
• LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus
• Experienced with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable
• Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
