Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• Minimum of 4-8 years of land surveying experience with various instruments (GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, digital levels).
• Experience with Trimble TSC3 and/or TSC7 data collectors and software is a plus.
• Experience with DOT survey and SUE projects is a plus.
• Experience with construction layout is a plus.
• Ensure proper traffic signage and safety precautions.
• Operate survey trucks responsibly and maintain equipment.
• Supervise and operate survey equipment, guiding team members.
• Download and transmit data; maintain accurate field notes and sketches.
• Supervise a 2-3 person survey crew.
• Participate in safety meetings and identify hazards.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Follow instructions, mentor crews, and demonstrate leadership.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, walk in all weather conditions, and work long hours, including travel and overnight stays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Pre-employment drug screening; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.
