Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join the operations team on heavy civil projects such as bridges and roadways.

You will provide surveying services, layout, and data collection with a focus on accuracy, safety, and confidentiality. Applicants should have 2–3 years of land surveying experience, proficiency with robotic total stations, GPS and AutoCAD, and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly with staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of land surveying experience.
• Proficient with robotic total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report background check.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide surveying services and layout on bridges, highways, and foundations.
• Assist with survey computations and data collection.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys.
• Calculate heights, depths, and property lines; analyze terrain.
• Conduct plan research and fieldwork associated with land surveying.
• Maintain professional integrity and confidentiality on all tasks.
• Coordinate with operations and staff across levels.
