Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with land surveying.
  • Field work experience a must.
  • Experience must show current proficiency operating a robotic tool station, GPS, and level.
  • AutoCAD experience required.
  • Knowledge of geological description principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, and government regulation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Valid Driver’s License required, and candidate must pass be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide surveying services, which include construction survey and layout on bridges, highways, foundations, and other related heavy civil projects.
  • Assists with survey computations and data collection including construction layout calculations, grade sheet computation, topographical/volume analysis, and project data conversion/transformation.
  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys.
  • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
  • Conducting plan research and review.
  • Perform fieldwork associated with land surveying.
  • Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism.

The Party Chief will work closely with and support the operations team and interact with a variety of staff at all levels, while remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located out of Austin, Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Thalle is currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying. The Surveyor will be responsible for the utilization of project controls and staking using a total station, GPS, and computer software in project assignments. In addition, this position will be responsible for all aspects of project control including, but not limited to, field data collection, topographical surveys, and construction stakeout.
