The ideal candidate has a strong land surveying background, hands-on leadership style, and the ability to ensure precision and compliance across field operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of land surveying experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role as a Survey or Party Chief.
• Experience on DOT or transportation infrastructure projects, especially highway widening.
• Familiarity with Georgia and South Carolina survey standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey field crew on active infrastructure projects.
• Perform topographic, boundary, construction layout, and as-built surveys using GPS, robotic total stations, and drones.
• Interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to guide field activities.
• Ensure survey work meets timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and daily reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
