Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) in Savannah, GA seeks a Survey Chief to lead field survey teams for highway projects, ensuring precise data collection and compliance. You will manage field operations, mentor staff, and coordinate with engineers and clients on complex infrastructure initiatives.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong surveying knowledge, and the ability to travel and work night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment screening required; ICE is a drug‑free workplace.
• Experience on DOT or transportation infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey crews on active infrastructure projects.
• Perform topographic, boundary, construction layout, and as‑built surveys using GPS, robotic total stations, and drones.
• Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to guide field activities.
• Ensure surveys meet timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain field notes, sketches, and daily reports; coordinate with engineers and contractors.
• Train and mentor junior survey staff; oversee equipment maintenance.
• Travel to out‑of‑town sites and work nights as needed.
