Job summary

Pulice is seeking a Survey Party Chief to ensure accuracy in topographic and cross-section surveys on our project sites. You will guide field crews and coordinate with engineers to deliver reliable measurements and documentation.

You will provide work control lines, elevations, contours, and as-built verification, perform layout work, and assist with quantity calculations to support planning and payment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in survey and land mapping.
• LSIT Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and material installation.
• Assist in evaluating potential dimensions and field problems.
• Perform layout work as specified by survey manager.
• Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and quantities.
• Assist with conducting quantity calculations as required.

Are you a detail-oriented surveyor with knowledge of topographic and cross-section surveys? As a Survey Party Chief, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and precision in every aspect of our work. Your expertise in control lines, elevations, contours, and land features will guide project management and work crews, enabling them to execute their tasks with confidence. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to deliver technical insights that directly impact project success.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff.
• Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems.
• Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified by survey manager.
• Provide checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
• Assist with conducting quantity calculations as required.

Who You Are

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in survey and land mapping required.
• License Surveyor In Training (LSIT) Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to train and direct staff on a project site.
• Developing knowledge of topographic and cross-section surveys to support planning, design, materials and cost projections for the project site.
• Strong communication skills, proven with engineering teams and management on project sites.
• Technical skill with survey instruments
