Job summary

RLF is seeking a capable Survey Party Chief/Advanced Field Surveyor to take ownership of field assignments in the Phoenix, AZ area. You will work with autonomous planning, justify methods, and execute boundary, topo, ALTA, and design surveys using Robotic total stations, GNSS, and laser scanners.

We value strong field judgment, solid QA/QC habits, and the ability to read plans and deeds. A degree is not required with ample opportunity for growth and learning advanced geospatial technology, while

Qualifications

• Extensive field surveying experience is required.
• Ability to independently run field assignments.
• Proficiency with robotic total stations and GNSS.
• Boundary, topo, construction, and ALTA experience.
• Strong control and field calculation skills.
• Ability to read plans, plats, deeds, and legal descriptions.
• Excellent field judgment and QA/QC habits.
• Able to work independently with a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work outdoors in Arizona conditions.
• Laser scanning, UAS, Civil 3D, LSIT certification, or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Survey Party Chief | Advanced Field Surveyor

If you're an experienced Party Chief who wants more autonomy, better technology, and less unnecessary bureaucracy, RLF may be a good fit.

We are looking for a strong field surveyor who can take ownership of an assignment, understand what needs to be accomplished, choose the right approach, and get it done.

RLF crews often operate as highly capable one-person crews, with additional field staff brought together when the project requires it.

What You'll Work On

• Boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys
• Topographic and design surveys
• Horizontal and vertical control
• Right-of-way and Roadway
• Commercial and infrastructure projects
• Laser scanning and reality capture
• As-built and verification surveys
