Qualifications

Compensation: $30-$45 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field surveying operations and coordinate fieldwork from start to finish.
• Perform boundary, topographic, existing conditions, and construction surveys.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
• Collect, verify, and maintain accurate field measurements and survey data.
• Read and interpret survey plans, deeds, maps, and construction drawings.
• Establish survey control points and perform construction layout and staking as needed.
• Ensure fieldwork is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
• Maintain organized field notes, survey records, and project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, office personnel, clients, and other field team members.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a professional presence on job sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Survey Party Chief or in a similar field surveying role.
• Strong understanding of boundary, topographic, and construction surveying principles.
• Experience operating total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, data collectors, and related surveying instruments.
• Ability to interpret survey plans, construction drawings, deeds, and maps.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently in the field and lead surveying crews effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
