Team Fishel in Hampton, VA is hiring a Survey Party Chief for our PSG operation. The role involves conducting surveys, supervising the survey crew, and performing related field work.

Responsibilities include GPS control work, topographic surveys, and easement staking; occasional Total Station use. Travel may be required. Starting pay is $28–$34 per hour, with health insurance, 401k, and profit sharing as benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Operate survey equipment and train others in use of equipment and computers.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus.
• Starting pay rate for this position is $28 - $34 / hour depending upon experience.

Description

Team Fishel , the Best Choice for Utility Engineering and Construction, is hiring a Survey Party Chief for our Hampton, VA Professional Services Group (PSG) operation. The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for conducting surveys; performing survey duties; supervising the survey crew, and performing related work as required.

Responsibilities

• Using GPS equipment to set control, property corner searches, topographic surveys and staking of easements and rights-of-way
• Occasional use of Total Station for the above
• Schedule maintenance of company assigned vehicle
• Communicate with staff on a daily basis
• Prepare time sheets on a daily/weekly basis
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Able to operate and train others in the use of survey equipment including conventional and electronic instruments and computers (hardware and software)
• Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills
• Although not likely, overnight travel may be required
• Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus
• Starting pay rate for this position is $28 - $34 / hour depending upon experience.
