Job description

Survey Manager Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) - Job Description

STV is seeking a Survey Manager Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our team in either Glasgow or Lexington, KY. The Professional Land Surveyor will utilize diverse surveying knowledge and will be responsible for work related to the PLS license.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Assist in developing plats, topography surveys, construction staking, and related activities.
  2. Support the Senior Survey Manager with field surveying and office data compilation.
  3. Oversee site survey crews, including scheduling personnel and equipment.
  4. Conduct pre-trip meetings, discuss tasks and logistics, and ensure insurance requirements are met.
  5. Meet clients onsite to discuss plans, expectations, and design modifications.
  6. Propose additional projects or modifications to benefit clients and the firm.
  7. Ensure data accuracy and client satisfaction, discuss contract additions, and identify services to expand contracts.
  8. Adapt plans based on environmental conditions, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure comprehensive, precise data collection.
  9. Monitor safety and operational conditions, invoice equipment, and provide site observations for engineers.
  10. Download and review data in Microstation or AutoCAD, perform quality control, and prepare final survey presentations.
  11. Develop subordinate staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the employed state.

Compensation Range: $96,217.42 - $128,289.89
