Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Survey Manager (PLS) to join our Survey team in our Wilmington office. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. With over 75 years of experience, Bolton & Menk specializes in community infrastructure solutions across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Responsible for estimating, managing, planning, scheduling, and performing multiple survey projects and personnel.
• Apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluating, and completing survey projects.
• Review and approve field measurements and assist with preparation of survey documents.
• Conduct and direct field surveys as required for scheduling or supervisory and quality control purposes.
• Oversee projects that consist of 50% boundary surveying for private clients and 50% survey support for internal municipal engineering projects.
• Perform boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, right‑of‑way plats, CIC plats, easement preparation, topographic surveys, construction staking, and manage private survey clients.
• Leverage state‑of‑the‑art robotic and GPS equipment in field crews.

What We Are Looking For:

• North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to attain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of survey experience.
• Strong management and leadership skills, including operating with urgency, managing conflict, exercising tact and patience, and providing constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with CAD and survey software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability at the firm’s standard rates; a motor vehicle record check is required.
• Minimal travel may be required.
