Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Survey Manager in North Texas. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented professionals that want to excel with us. The Survey Manager will provide supervision and work direction to a survey crew engaged in establishment of control points and lines used in construction projects. The purpose of this job is to coordinate and schedule all survey activities for one or more projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Functional Areas of Responsibility

• Survey

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

1. Schedule survey crews
2. Ensure that project survey needs are being met in a timely manner
3. Communicate well with project team on scheduling needs
4. Possess foresight to prevent scheduling conflicts
5. Calculate/build models for projects
6. Work toward discovering issues prior to construction
7. Review plans for errors and conflicts
8. Calculate accurately
9. Check tie-in locations to crews
10. Disseminate information properly to project team
11. Random check of layout on projects
12. Review field layout done by Party Chiefs
13. Maintain process and procedure compliance
14. Ensure proper layout is being provided for the work being performed
15. Provide for training surveyors at all levels
16. Properly evaluate the needs of crews and ensure training is evaluated
17. Communicate with Party Chiefs and Project Managers
18. Attend project meetings
19. Clearly communicate the tasks of Party Chiefs
20. Clearly communicate to the Project Manager the issues and/or concerns regarding survey work
21. Clearly communicate with the Area Survey Department Manager the schedules, tasks, personnel, and project developments
22. Ensure proper documentation for survey layout is being performed
23. Perform proper project documentation; ensure Party Chiefs are properly documenting work and layout
24. Other duties as assigned
