Job description

Survey Manager / Licensed Surveyor

Growing engineering firm is seeking a Survey Manager / Licensed Surveyor to lead surveying operations, manage field crews, support project delivery, and help grow the survey department.

This role will oversee proposals, client communication, contract management, project profitability, business development, and RFP/bid efforts. Experience with land development and public works projects is required, including subdivisions, site plans, rezoning, and coordination with municipalities and approval agencies.

Qualifications:

• Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (L.S.) License
• 5+ years of land development and public works surveying experience
• Experience managing survey crews and supporting project teams
• Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction stakeout/as-built surveys, and builder packages
• Client development and business development experience preferred
• $110,000–$120,000 salary depending on experience
• $20K–$25K annual bonus
