Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Survey Intern to gain hands-on experience in both the field and office, aligning with skills needed for a full-time surveying career. You will develop and participate in key surveying roles and functions while supporting project teams in a dynamic environment.

The internship emphasizes travel, relocation as needed, and the chance to learn within Kiewit's Central District. Base compensation is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with a schedule and location that may vary by project

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed during and after the internship.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Currently pursuing a degree in surveying or a related field.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied climates and environments.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
• Demonstrated ethics and integrity.
• Passion for safety and preventing injuries.
• Team player who can also work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow the project survey plan for field operations.
• Maintain accurate records, field procedures and survey audits.
• Utilize software to process field data.
• Follow proper field safety procedures.
• Take accurate field notes.
• Perform setting and maintenance of the control network.
• Communicate with the project surveying team.
