Job summary

LJA Surveying offers a Summer Internship Program from mid-May through early August, fully in-person, 40 hours/week. Interns work with experienced professionals, contributing to real projects and gaining hands-on surveying exposure in both field and office settings.

The role provides mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities, with emphasis on developing technical and professional skills for a surveying career.

Qualifications

• Motivated student with strong academic performance.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with assigned tasks under the direction of experienced surveyors.
• Shadowing field and office operations to learn surveying practices and workflows.
• Completing project-based assignments that support larger initiatives while gaining exposure to daily surveying activities.
