Job summary

LJA Surveying's Summer Internship Program offers a hands-on, in-person experience from mid-May to early August. As an intern you will work with survey teams on field and office assignments under experienced professionals, gaining real projects and developing technical and professional skills.

This paid, full-time internship emphasizes mentorship, site visits, and professional development through Lunch & Learn sessions, networking, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Surveying or a related field.
• Highly motivated student with strong academic performance.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

WHAT THE LJA INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE HAS TO OFFER

Our Summer Internship Program runs from mid-May through the first week of August and is a fully in-person experience, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. As an LJA intern, you'll gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to real‑world projects. You'll be integrated into a team, take on meaningful assignments, and develop the technical and professional skills needed to launch your career.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Intern at LJA Surveying, you will support surveying teams by assisting with field and office assignments under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role provides hands‑on exposure to real projects while offering insight into the day‑to‑day operations of professional surveyors. Interns will contribute to meaningful work while developing technical, organizational, and professional skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Surveying or a related field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
