Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking a Survey Group Manager for our Charlotte, NC office. You will lead and grow the Survey Department, overseeing conventional, GPS, LiDAR, UAV, and related services while ensuring quality, safety, and strong client partnerships.

The role requires extensive surveying experience, leadership capabilities, and a track record in business development with public sector clients. NV5 offers a competitive benefits package and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• NC Professional Land Surveyor licensure required (PLS).
• 10–15+ years progressive surveying experience.
• Proven experience managing multiple survey crews, PMs and office staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Charlotte survey department, overseeing all operations.
• Manage conventional, GPS, LiDAR, UAV survey services and related staff.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and proposals.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for all survey deliverables and ensure performance.
• Drive business development and maintain strong client relationships with NCDOT and clients.
