Dunaway is seeking a Survey Field Assistant in Midland, TX. This full-time role supports daily surveying operations under the Party Chief, performing field staking, data collection, and equipment preparation on a variety of projects.

No prior survey experience required. The position offers a flexible schedule with Fridays off typically, a hands-on learning environment, and a path to developing essential surveying skills through on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in surveying or related field.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail required.
• Willingness to learn field surveying techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for daily survey tasks by loading vehicles with supplies and ensuring equipment is charged and calibrated.
• Review and interpret site plans, boundary and highway plans, and profiles.
• Perform basic field surveying including leveling, traversing, boundary, and topographic surveys.
• Operate survey equipment and perform basic field adjustments on devices.
• Record and interpret monument data and maintain organized equipment storage.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
