Job summary

The Walsh Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned company, is seeking a Survey Engineer for its Water Division near Atlanta and Cartersville, GA. This role focuses on providing precise horizontal and vertical control for field production operations and coordinating survey crews on challenging projects.

You will supervise crew activities, maintain schedules and procedures, and stay current with Trimble software and GPS instruments to ensure accurate data and efficient production support across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years field experience in survey & construction surveying.
• Knowledge of Trimble Construction Survey software, instruments, controllers, GPS rovers, and machine control.
• Basic knowledge of plan reading, math, and geometry.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of general construction practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient construction survey layout to support production operations.
• Supervise and mentor survey crew in daily layout operations.
• Maintain knowledge of production schedules and procedures and make directive survey decisions.
• Provide production information from project documents to field operations.
• Maintain knowledge of Trimble software and GPS instruments.
• Assist operations in setup, usage, and maintenance of survey instruments.
