Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction, seeks a Survey Crew Leader in Columbus, Ohio to supervise field surveys and crew operations within the Professional Services Group. You will conduct surveys, oversee crew activities, and perform related duties to ensure accurate data collection and project progress.

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license, be proficient with MS Word and Excel, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Operate and train others on survey equipment (total stations, GNSS, levels, data collectors).
• Computer experience is desired.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and work overtime as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
• Preparing detailed field notes and sketches to document survey activities
• Comprehensive understanding of survey principles, methods, and practices.
• Ability to interpret and analyze survey data, maps, and construction plans.
• Performs mathematical calculations.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
• Know principles of staking and marking.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction and Network Installation, is hiringSurvey Crew Leaderswithin the Columbus, Ohio Professional Services Group . The Survey Crew Leader will be responsible for conducting surveys; performing complex survey duties; supervising the survey crew, and performing related work as required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain survey equipment such as total stations, GNSS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
• Preparing detailed field notes and sketches to document survey activities
• Comprehensive understanding of survey principles, methods, and practices.
• Ability to interpret and analyze survey data, maps, and construction plans.
• Performs mathematical calculations.
• Know basic sources of measurement errors.
