Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field survey team in Dayton or Cincinnati, OH. This role focuses on boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys with travel across Ohio.

Qualifications

• Degree in surveying or geomatics or a related field, or five years of related experience.
• Proficient with survey instruments and data collection software.
• Ability to travel overnight and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey crew to conduct field surveys including boundary and topographic surveys.
• Operate and maintain total stations, GNSS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
• Prepare detailed field notes and sketches documenting activities.
• Adhere to project requirements and schedules set by the Survey Team Leader.
• Use survey software for data downloading, processing, and initial quality control.
• Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain timelines and budget.
• Communicate issues or delays to the Survey Team Leader promptly.
• Practice safety protocols and maintain PPE inventory.
• Provide guidance and training to junior crew members.
