Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Lansdale, PA is seeking a Survey Technician/Survey Crew Chief to support our Geospatial team with boundary surveys, utility locates, and survey computations in a hybrid role.

This position blends fieldwork with office tasks and requires leadership of field crews, strong problem-solving, and proficiency with GPS, total stations, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You will collaborate with clients and internal design teams to deliver accurate survey products.

Qualifications

• Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of topographic surveys and field crew prep.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience leading a survey crew and training crew members.
• Must operate a total station and GPS in static and RTK modes for control networks, boundaries, topography, construction staking, etc.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Limited Office tasks: survey research, boundary analysis, exhibits, base maps, and data QA.
• Import and analyze field data.
• Perform QA/QC checks.
• Coordinate with field crews and office staff.
• Lead and mentor survey crew members.
• Operate GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Transfer files between data collectors and project folders.
• Maintain client relationships and follow company safety policies.
