Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. invites a Survey Crew Chief to join our North Dakota Survey team in Fargo or Bismarck.

You will perform field surveying and construction staking to support transportation and infrastructure projects, working with project teams to deliver accurate data and quality deliverables. Ideal candidates have a two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology and 5+ years in construction surveying, plus experience with Trimble GPS and robotic equipment.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of construction surveying experience (topographic, boundary, ROW).
• Experience with Trimble GPS and robotic surveying equipment.
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Work independently or as part of a two-person survey crew to complete field surveying assignments.
• Perform right-of-way, design, and construction surveys for highway, municipal, and roadway projects.
• Lead and execute field operations, including work planning, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage survey activities and collaborate with project teams and contractors to support successful project delivery.
• Additional duties as assigned.
