Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Field Survey Crew Chief to lead daily field survey operations on active construction projects. You will be responsible for layout, data collection, and ensuring accurate field measurements.

This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, owns ownership of field tasks, and can drive project timelines. You will handle staking, data collection, and the use of GPS and robotic total stations, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely data delivery

Qualifications

• Prior field surveying experience is preferred.
• Exposure to construction layout and/or topographic surveying is a plus.
• Ability to work extended hours and overtime.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction staking, layout, and as‑built surveys.
• Collect topographic data and cross sections.
• Operate GPS, robotic total stations, and related survey equipment.
• Maintain accurate field notes and digital documentation.
• Perform basic field calculations and quality control checks.
• Download, upload, and organize survey data for office processing.
• Ensure proper care, calibration, and storage of survey equipment.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Follow safety standards and jobsite requirements.
• Communicate progress and site conditions to project leads.

Job Details

The Survey Crew Chief leads daily field survey operations on active construction and civil projects. This position is responsible for layout, data collection, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of field measurements. The role is hands‑on and best suited for someone who prefers working outdoors, taking ownership of field work, and supporting fast‑moving projects. Projects are typically short duration and schedule‑driven, requiring efficiency, accuracy, and strong field judgment.

Qualifications
