We are seeking a dedicated Survey Crew Chief with the ability to operate a total station instrument, GPS rover, and level, and read a level rod. The successful candidate will be capable of completing basic field calculations, cutting and clearing survey lines using hand tools, and maintaining a clean work vehicle. In addition, the candidate should be able to adhere to basic safety procedures, take directions from Project Managers, coordinate work efficiently, and lead and supervise one or more individuals on a survey crew.

The successful candidate will collect field survey data for various types of surveys including boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, wetland and tree locations, construction layout, and similar fieldwork. The work environment involves walking long distances in the woods, wetlands, and marsh areas and encountering bees, hornets, snakes, and other outside elements and insects. The working schedule is from Monday to Friday with some Saturdays involved. The normal hours are 6 am-3 pm for a total of 40-50 hours per week. The candidate will meet at the office and report to the Survey Manager who will direct and assign crews. The candidate will lead a team of 1-2 man survey crews. The work location is in the Savannah area.
