Job summary

Actalent in Windsor Mill, MD seeks a Survey Crew Member to join a fully onsite outdoor field team. You will start as an instrument person with potential to advance to a rod person, coordinating with field staff and project managers while delivering precise surveying data.

The role requires 7+ years of crew leadership with robotic total stations and GPS, proficiency with Trimble equipment, and basic math skills. AutoCAD/Microstation familiarity is a plus; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience running a crew with robotic total stations and GPS.
• Proficiency with Trimble survey equipment (GPS, robotics, total stations, levels, data collectors).
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Clear vegetation obstructing the line of sight and assist in the collection of survey data.
• Learn and support office tasks during inclement weather, including CAD training.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and familiarity with Microstation is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions from the Party Chief.
• Experience or familiarity with SHA is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position reports to the Party Chief/Field Coordinator and involves assisting in survey tasks safely and effectively. The work is 100% outdoors, requiring readiness to work in different weather conditions. The role offers stability with a firm established for over 50 years, providing a stable backlog of work. Opportunities for overtime are available, though not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
