Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Survey Crew Chief for field work in the Metro Detroit area, based in Troy, MI. The role requires 2+ years of survey experience, staking, and proficiency with boundary and topographic surveys.

You will operate Leica or Trimble robotic total stations, laser scanners, GPS, and data collectors, review civil and architectural plans, and be willing to commute. First shift, Monday–Friday, contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a surveyor or survey Crew Chief.
• Experience with construction staking/layouts.
• Proficiency in boundary and topographic surveys.
• Experience with Leica or Trimble Robotic Total Stations, laser scanners, GPS, and data collectors.
• Ability to review and understand civil construction and architectural plans and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Hours:

Hiring for first shift! Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday

Must be willing to commute and work out in the field in the Metro Detroit area

Must haves:

• 2+ years of experience as a surveyor or survey Crew Chief.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
