Job Summary:
We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead and manage a field survey crew in a variety of survey types, including ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control surveys, construction stakeout, elevation certificates, and subdivision layouts. The ideal candidate will be experienced in modern surveying equipment and techniques, with a strong ability to lead field operations and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of a field survey crew across multiple project types

• Perform and oversee ALTA, boundary, topographic, control, and construction surveys

• Utilize Total Station, RTK, and GPS data collection systems accurately

• Interpret and execute survey instructions and project plans

• Ensure crew safety and compliance with company procedures and job site protocols

• Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and the public

• Maintain equipment and ensure proper use on site

• Prepare and submit accurate field notes and data

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum 3 years of field surveying experience

• At least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

• Proficient with Total Station, RTK, and GPS data collection systems

• Valid driver’s license required

• Must pass background check and drug screening

• Able to stand and walk for long periods in varying outdoor conditions

• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

• Regular attendance and punctuality required

• Willingness to work overtime when needed
