A leading company in sustainable engineering seeks a full-time Survey Crew Chief. You will guide a survey team performing a variety of field surveys utilizing advanced surveying technologies. Duties include supervising crew members, conducting surveys, and ensuring safety compliance for various projects, including land development and utilities.

We are currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt Survey Crew Chief to guide a survey team. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will play a key role in performing accurate and efficient field surveys for a variety of projects – from land development and transportation to utilities, energy, and more. You will utilize GPS, robotic surveying, and laser scanning technologies to contribute to BHB’s goals. Your tasks include abstract research, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary and Easement Surveys, construction staking, volume calculations, design surveys, tree surveys, topographic mapping, UAS, and utility mapping.

Physical Demands & Environment
This role involves strenuous activities, including standing, walking, hiking, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, digging, and reaching overhead. Activities include driving stakes with a sledgehammer and operating a machete or brush hook. Exposure to environmental elements such as heat, cold, sun, rain, wind, poison ivy, wildlife, water, and pollen is expected.
Travel
Local travel to project sites is required, with a company vehicle provided. Occasional overnight travel may be requested.
Position Type and Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position, with a 40-hour workweek. Flexible scheduling options are available, including five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. Overtime is not required but may be requested.
