Job description

Bourland Land Surveying is currently seeking applicants for a Field Engineer / Crew Chief position. Responsibilities include:

1. Conducting boundary and topographic surveys
2. Performing construction site layouts and other surveying activities
3. Supervising a rodman and/or crew
4. Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements and qualities include:

1. Adherence to safety protocols and working in a drug-free environment
2. Being detail-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic
3. Flexibility to work on multiple projects and respond to changing client and company expectations
4. Ability to follow directions and work independently
5. Active participation as part of the project and division team
6. Ability to solve practical problems with variables based on client preferences, especially in areas with limited documentation or standardization
7. Current and valid driver’s license
8. Ability to use a personal vehicle, with company compensation for use
