Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in the Charleston area seeks a Survey Data Technician to manage the data processing phase of field surveys. You will produce topographic plots, terrain models, plats and notes, and generate design files for project completion.
The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years of software-based data reduction experience, and a valid driver’s license. Office duties predominate with occasional field activity and standard benefits.

Responsible for the overall completion of the data processing phase of specific field survey projects.

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
Field work is required 5% of the time, where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
