Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey CADD Operator to join our Survey/Geospatial team in Indiana. You will transform field data into precise survey deliverables and base maps to support transportation projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and surveying mapping is required. You'll work in an office-based role, collaborate with field and office staff, and contribute to quality control and project coordination on DOT projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree or equivalent technical experience is preferred.
• 0-3 years of related surveying experience required.
• Experience working on DOT projects preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency required; MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads proficiency highly preferred.
• Proficient in various data techniques and coding systems.
• Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, and computations.
• Understanding of angular and linear measurement systems.
• Strong reading/writing English for job communications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare complete boundary survey by compiling record data and providing sound analysis for accurate property line location.
• Perform quality control review on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide assistance to staff in the preparation of reports/findings, plans, and other contract documents.
• Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff for design, field, and other tasks on complex projects.
• Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans.
• Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
• Monitor the work of assigned staff including sub-consultants and/or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare complete boundary survey by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.

• 3D Scanning Registration Experience a plus.
• Valid drivers' license required and ability to operate a motor vehicle. MVR will be checked and monitored.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
