Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design, Mt Laurel, NJ, is seeking a CADD Operator to join our Survey/Geospatial team. You will turn field data into precise drawings using CAD software and collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers on land development and geospatial projects.

The role requires AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, 2–5 years of related survey/drafting experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associates or certificate in AutoCAD preferred.
• 2-5 years of related survey/drafting experience; previous survey experience is a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft parcels or subdivision boundaries from legal descriptions using CAD techniques (Civil 3D).
• Maintain CAD drafting standards and 3D scanning deliverables as needed.
• Perform Topographic, ALTA, Boundary, and As-built surveys or related work.
• Read, plot, and understand legal descriptions and survey terminology.
• Prepare a variety of survey products under supervision of the project surveyor.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a driven and detail-oriented CADD Operator to join our fast-paced Survey/Geospatial team in Mt Laurel, NJ. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our survey and mapping projects, turning field data into accurate, high-quality technical drawings and plans with the power of computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software. You’ll collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to deliver precise results that shape land development, infrastructure, and geospatial projects across the region. Responsibilities

• Ability to draft parcels, or subdivision boundaries from legal descriptions using CAD techniques (Civil 3D).
• Maintains average skills in the use of AutoCAD (MicroStation a plus).
• Ability and knowledge to perform Topographic survey, ALTA survey, Boundary Survey, As built Survey etc.
• Ability to read and plot Legal descriptions.
• Performs drafting of portions of routine projects under direction of project surveyor.
• Understands surveying terminology.
• Prepares a variety of survey products.
• Adheres to AutoCAD standards manual.
• Experience with 3D scanning software and preparing survey deliverables acquired from 3D scan data a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.
• 2-5 years of related experience. (Previous survey experience a plus).
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D. (MicroStation a plus).
• Work within a team oriented environment to successfully complete a high volume of projects within established budgets and deadlines.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $23.17-$28.11 per hour (Depending on Qualifications)
