Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a Survey CAD Technician I to produce maps and drawings and coordinate production to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and on-time delivery. The role involves using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation, downloading field data, and performing property research as needed.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, AutoCAD Civil training, and a valid driver’s license; LSIT is highly desirable. Overtime may be required and strict attention to detail is essential.

OVERVIEW

A Survey CAD Technician I is responsible for the production of maps and drawings.

DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL:

• Coordinate the production of maps and drawings to cover all details so that the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) is present, and budgets and schedules are met.
• Responsible for downloading/uploading field data, technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, communicating with project team.
• Performing property research both online and in the courthouse as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• AutoCAD Civil training/education certificate.
• 40-hour work week with potential overtime.
• LSIT highly desirable.
• Proficient technical skills: behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, likes to work alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure.
• Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle report and cleared criminal background check and a negative drug test result.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

• 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018, processing survey computation, Carlson, C&G, Trimble, Data processing, GPS, boundary, surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys and construction staking.
• Proficient in Microstation, primary drafting software.
• Working Knowledge of AutoCAD C3D.
• Previous use of Inroads and Openroads, main software for mapping projects.
• Strong plus experience reducing field data in Microstation Inroads or Openroads.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
