Job summary

SAM is seeking a Survey Technician to support both office and field staff by processing information and producing final land surveying deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and use the latest A/E/C technology to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications emphasize a strong willingness to learn, basic math proficiency, and familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit. Training is provided and growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to learn; on-the-job training provided.
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
• Ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process data and produce final land surveying deliverables.
• Report to Project Manager and perform technical tasks using the latest A/E/C technology.
• Help increase land surveying project efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Monitor field crew production and perform QC of deliverables.

Your Impact at SAM

As a Survey Technician, You Will Support Office And Field Staff By Processing Incoming Information And Producing Final Land Surveying Project Deliverables. You Will Report To The Project Manager And Perform Technical Tasks Utilizing The Latest Technology In The A/E/C Industry. You Will Help Increase Land Survey Project Efficiency And Client Satisfaction By

• Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
• Monitoring field crew's production and quality assurance
• Carrying out initial QC of field deliverables according to standards and best practices
• Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

• Strong desire to learn -little to no experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit or similar application is a plus
• Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
