Job summary

Actalent seeks a Survey CAD Technician for our Columbus, OH office. You will prepare survey drawings, plats, boundary exhibits, and topographic maps using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, supporting engineers and project teams.

The role involves processing field data, drafting ALTA and boundary surveys, and ensuring deliverables meet client standards. On-site work with growth opportunities and performance-based reviews are offered.

Qualifications

HS diploma is required.
A degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Desire to learn and grow a career within land surveying.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing survey drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Draft boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits, legal descriptions, and construction staking plans.
Process field survey data from survey crews, GPS, and total stations.
Create survey plats, right-of-way exhibits, as-built drawings, and record drawings.
Review survey notes, deeds, plats and other project documents; maintain electronic files and databases.
Coordinate with survey crews and project managers for accuracy of deliverables.
Perform quality checks on drawings and survey calculations.
Support project teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Learn industry standards, survey methodologies, and local jurisdictional requirements.
